Patrick Rothwell, an attorney at PilieroMazza PLLC, primarily practices in government contracts and litigation. Mr. Rothwell advises clients in a variety of government contract matters, including size protests before the Small Business Administration and bid protest before the Government Accountability Office and the United States Court of Federal Claims. He also advises on regulatory compliance, False Claims Act defenses, small business issues relating to the 8(a) Business Development Program and disadvantaged business enterprises, size protests, drafting and reviewing contracts and subcontracts, including teaming agreements, teaming agreements and subcontracts, and general litigation matters. Prior to joining PilieroMazza PLLC, Mr. Rothwell was a law clerk for (Chief) Judge Edward J. Damich and Judge Mary Ellen Coster Williams of the United States Court of Federal Claims. Mr. Rothwell also was an associate with Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, LLP in its Washington, DC office, specializing in trade remedies litigation, including antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings. Mr. Rothwell graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with an A.B. in Religious Studies and earned his law degree at The Columbus School of Law, The Catholic University of America in 2000. He is a member of the District of Columbia and Maryland bars as well as the U.S. Court of Federal Claims and the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
