Domenic Allegra

Domenic Allegra is a Law Clerk in PilieroMazza’s Government Contracts Group. Working alongside the Firm’s senior attorneys, he assists government contractors with matters involving federal procurement, bid protests, contract disputes, and small business government contracting programs. His strong foundation in legal research and analysis allows him to identify key issues and support the development of practical legal strategies tailored to each client’s needs.

Before joining PilieroMazza, Domenic Allegra gained valuable insight into federal procurement law and the judicial process as a judicial intern for the Honorable Matthew H. Solomson of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. In that role, he researched bid protest issues, assisted in drafting orders and opinions, and served as acting clerk during a breach-of-contract trial involving an $80 million claim. He also spent more than a year with the Office of General Counsel of the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, where he reviewed financial disclosure reports filed by federal judges and U.S. Supreme Court justices for compliance with applicable statutory requirements. Earlier in his career, he interned with the Connecticut General Assembly, where he researched the federal constitutional implications of proposed legislation and assisted in drafting bills.

Domenic Allegra first joined PilieroMazza as a summer associate. During that time, he prepared legal memoranda addressing government contracting issues and assisted with responses in Small Business Administration appeals involving businesses affected by the rescission of federal grants.

Domenic Allegra earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where he served as Executive Editor of the Connecticut Law Review and Intramural Director of the Connecticut Moot Court Board. He received the F. Herbert Gruendel ’84 Award for Excellence in Moot Court and the Connecticut Law Review Extra Mile Award.
