Compensation and Benefits
We understand that it takes more than a great culture to attract and retain exceptional team members. In addition to striving to create and maintain a supportive and stimulating culture, we offer a highly competitive compensation package. The Firm also offers a generous benefits package including medical and dental coverage, with the Firm covering a significant portion. We also provide Firm-paid life insurance, a 401(k) plan which includes a significant contribution by the Firm and short- and long-term disability insurance (both after six months of employment). Attorney benefits include; paid Bar Association dues and CLE expenses, access to an Employee Assistance Program, access to Family and/or Dependent Care Leave, access to Flexible Spending Account options, and are provided sick leave. PilieroMazza is proud to have successfully implemented an untracked vacation leave policy for its attorneys in good standing whereby employees are not provided a cap on vacation leave so long as the leave is approved by a supervisor.
Telecommuting Policies and Alternative Work Schedules
PilieroMazza is committed to providing the support our employees need to balance their personal and professional lives. We realize that from time to time our choice to practice law may result in long hours. However, PilieroMazza is committed to working together with each individual team member to facilitate fulfilling and enriching lives outside of practice. We believe that achieving this goal makes us better attorneys and reaffirms our commitment to PilieroMazza’s mission and vision.
We have a long history of being flexible with regards to alternative work schedules and will continue to accommodate all reasonable requests for such schedules. Anyone on an approved alternative schedule remains eligible for salary increases, bonuses, and promotions. Additionally, our attorneys frequently work remotely and our systems are organized to facilitate a seamless workflow regardless of where the attorney is physically located.
Training and Development
During an employee’s first 90 days of employment, that new employee is assigned a “buddy” as a resource for questions about all things PilieroMazza. All attorneys are eligible to participate in our mentoring program as a mentor or mentee, and we often provide Lunch & Learns for individual practice groups, attorneys, or our entire team to keep apprised of developments in the law or to update our team on changes at the firm. Each employee is provided an opportunity to frequent check-ins with supervising attorneys to develop goals and individual training plans to further their professional development. Our intent is to provide a platform for both experiential and educational development and training.
