Description:
As federal agencies accelerate the adoption and regulation of artificial intelligence, contractors are facing increased scrutiny over how AI tools are developed, deployed, disclosed, and governed in connection with awarding federal contracts. Agency guidance, expected new contract clauses, and cybersecurity expectations are reshaping risk allocation across the procurement lifecycle.
This panel will examine how AI-related provisions are expected to emerge in solicitations and contracts, including disclosure requirements, data rights considerations, cybersecurity obligations, subcontractor flow-down risks, and representations and certifications. Panelists will also explore how AI use may intersect with compliance frameworks under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and the False Claims Act.
Designed for government contractors, in-house counsel, compliance officers, and procurement professionals, this program will provide actionable strategies to help contractors remain competitive while minimizing regulatory exposure in an evolving AI landscape.
Learning objectives include:
-
identifying and negotiating AI-related contract clauses;
-
mitigating performance and compliance risk tied to AI systems;
-
managing subcontractor and vendor AI risk; and
-
preparing for audits, investigations, and potential enforcement action.
