A PILIEROMAZZA WEBINAR

The Year End Countdown to DFARS Compliance with NIST SP 800-171.

On December 31, 2017, certain defense contractors with nonfederal systems that contain controlled unclassified information must have implemented NIST SP 800-171 if subject to DFARS 252.204-7012. Are you ready? Do these new cybersecurity requirements even apply to you?

This webinar will help you understand if you need to comply and, if so, what you need to do to implement new security requirements. You may already be prepared based on the policies and procedures in place.

Do you have a strong security program which can give you a competitive advantage and avoid many adverse consequences of noncompliance? You want to avoid the “parade of horribles” that could result from non-compliance with NIST SP 800-171 including  breach of contract, termination for default, poor past performance assessments, poor proposal evaluations, all the way to False Claims Act exposure and suspension and/or debarment.

If you are not a DoD contractor subject to DFARS 252.204-7012, compliance with NIST SP 800-171 may not be an imminent concern but focusing on cybersecurity should still be part of your New Year’s resolutions for next year.

Join Jon Williams and Kimi Murakami, attorneys in our government contracting group and corporate law group, for this hour long talk regarding the new requirements so you may determine if you are ready for 2018.
