Associate – Business and Corporate (Washington, DC or Boulder, CO)
PilieroMazza is seeking a mid-level Corporate and Transactional associate with four to seven years of relevant experience to handle our clients’ legal transactions, commercial contracting, and general corporate governance needs. The principal role will be to support deal teams, including diligence, drafting and negotiating deal documents, coordinating closings, and managing consultants and specialists. Some experience leading a deal team is preferred. Securities, cyber security, real estate, and/or tax experience is a plus. Client Engagement Assistant (CEA), (Washington, DC)
PilieroMazza is seeking a Client Engagement Assistant who will be responsible for managing and maintaining the firm's CRM platform (Time Matters) and providing support for our marketing and business development efforts, as well as conduct client intake and disengagement activities. The CEA will work with Executive Assistants, perform data maintenance, including deactivating old records, merging duplicate records, resolving data discrepancies, and verifying standardization of data. Maintain all marketing, business development, and event lists, and assists in developing and makes suggestions for improving targeted lists for various marketing and business development-related activities. Distribute marketing-related electronic communications to firm marketing lists using 3rd-party email marketing software and generates and analytics reports after distributions. Establish and improve database standards, policies, and procedures, as well as provides regular training to legal and support staff. Track, audit, and complete setup for new clients and matters to ensure correct input of information and special billing arrangements for assigned clients in billing system and database. Billing Assistant (Washington, DC)
PilieroMazza is seeking a Billing Assistant. The Billing Assistant handles all aspects of the Firm’s monthly billing cycle, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, deposits, revising attorney time entries, generating invoices for clients, end-of-month billing, and answering client and staff billing inquiries. Other responsibilities include checking the cash receipts for accuracy, processing credit card and bank transfer payments, completing bank transfers, handling bank reconciliations, submitting expense entries and posting same in billing system, setting up and updating client billing accounts, and collections. Applicant will also coordinate weekly collections meetings with the Managing Principal. The ideal candidate should be extremely detail-oriented and be well-versed with general computer usage and IT troubleshooting, as they will also provide minor IT support to all Firm staff. Other responsibilities may be assigned depending on the candidate’s skills and interests. The ability to multitask and work well under pressure, in both independent and team settings, is preferred. A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook, is required. Candidate must have excellent communication and client support skills. Experience in a law firm, prior billing experience, and working knowledge of the Juris accounting software is a plus.
