Kirby is an Associate in PilieroMazza’s Labor & Employment and Business & Transactions practice groups. He works with government contractors on the complexities of employing a federal workforce. Notably, Kirby handles compliance matters relating to wage and hour, the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Service Contract Act (SCA), and the Davis-Bacon Act (DBA). Additionally, he assists employers in drafting employment agreements and employee handbooks that comply with FLSA requirements and guides employers in understanding the nature of FLSA exempt and non-exempt employees.

A majority of Kirby’s practice consists of representing federal contractors in disputes with federal contracting agencies and the Department of Labor on employer obligations around the SCA and the DBA. He regularly guides clients on SCA and DBA price adjustment requests pursuant to the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and certified claims under the Contract Disputes Act (CDA).

While in law school, Kirby was part of the Business and Finance Law Review. He was also a member of the Executive Board of the Banking and Securities Law Society.
